For those of you who host recurring events, where lots of the same Exhibitors come back and have a booth year-over-year, we have built in the ability on our platform for you to copy an Exhibitor's previous booth on your event into a new Virtual Booth in a different event.
This helps out your Exhibitors, who who have previously built a Virtual Booth for one of your Virtual Events, and they just want to reuse that booth without having to put all the info in again. As the Event Organizer, you only have the ability to copy in their booths from previous events that you also owned, so you don't have access to any of their booths for other Organizer's events.
To do this, an Exhibitor must have an order for your event, with the Virtual Profile enabled. They can do this by submitting an order themselves through your Showcase page, or you creating a Manual Submission for them (more info on that here). Once they have an Order for your event, you can access their Virtual Booth from the Order Summary on your Submissions Dashboard (info on how to do that here).
When you're in their booth, you should see that you're in Edit Mode, and that you're able to edit details about the booth in the sidebar on the right. Here, you will see a button to Copy Another Booth.
Clicking this button brings up a pop-up of all this Exhibitor's previous booths on your events.
Here you will see the User Email for the Exhibitor that all these booths are associated with (including the one you're about to copy into). You can select any of the previous booths, and then click Copy in the bottom right.
What Gets Copied Over
- Cover Image or Video
- Booth Title
- Everything in the editing sidebar
- For example, Contact Info, Social Links, Live Chat Settings
- Booth Description field
- Widgets
- Display Items
- Shopify Integration (if you have one)
The only thing that does not get copied over is the "Custom Slug" in the editing sidebar. This Custom Slug is the ending of the URL for your booth page. We do not copy this over to avoid duplicating page URLs and causing clashes. You can only edit a booth's Custom Slug when it is unpublished.
If any Exhibitor wants to copy over their Booth profile from an event not owned by you, they can do this, you just don't have the ability. For more information, you can send them the How To for Exhibitors to copy Virtual Booths: CLICK HERE.
