You can stream a Zoom Meeting or Webinar live on YouTube. This allows participants to join your meeting via Zoom to view it and comment on it via YouTube. During the live event, there will be an approximate 30-second delay between the actual Zoom Meeting or Webinar, and the Live stream Main Stage.

Initiating a Live Stream to Youtube
Direct Streaming From a Meeting or Webinar
- Start the Webinar or Meeting.
- At the bottom right of your screen you should see More in the Meeting/Webinar Controls. Click More, and it should bring up a list of options.
- Click Live on YouTube.
- Log in to YouTube using the YouTube account that is enabled for livestreaming.
- Choose the privacy setting you want on your livestream on YouTube. You must choose either public or unlisted.
- Public: Anyone can watch your video on YouTube, it will notify your subscribers, and show up in Search results.
- Unlisted: Only people who have the direct link to the video will be able to watch it. So, if you only use that link to add the video to your Main Hall, folks will only be able to see it there.
- You should now see a red dot and "Live on YouTube" label in the upper left corner of your Zoom meeting.
Adding this Stream to your Main Hall
- Copy the YouTube video URL from the Zoom meeting. In the upper lefthand corner of Zoom, you should see a red dot and "Live on YouTube" label. Hover over this, and it will open a dropdown of options. Choose Copy Streaming Link.
- Go back to your event's Main Page on EventHub and scroll down to Main Hall Track.
- Click the add button, and paste in the URL from YouTube (and fill out required info, like when you want it to begin and end showing on the Main Stage). For a more detailed step-by-step guide on this, please refer to our tutorial on Adding Content to the Main Hall.
Once it goes live, the video will be up at both the YouTube URL, and on top of your Main Hall (and with attendees as they scroll down and through booths!).
This is a screenshot from one of our events where they had a Zoom Meeting with Screensharing. This is what the Main Stage looked like when the speaker was screensharing.
How to Stop Live Streaming your Zoom Meeting to YouTube
When you're ready to end the stream, do the following on your Zoom meeting:
- In the upper lefthand corner of Zoom, you should see a red dot and "Live on YouTube" label. Click this this, and it will open a dropdown of options. Choose Stop Live Stream.
- Though you will still be in the Zoom meeting, the stream of that meeting through YouTube has stopped.
