How To Create Categories
Once you are logged in, you will see a list of your events with Live Floor Plans. Click on the event that you would like to add category to.
Example of My Events List:
Once you will click into the specific event that you would like to add a category(ies) to, it will bring you to that specific Event's Dashboard. First you will click on the "Exhibitor" tab which will expand a drop down list where you will click on "Exhibitor Categories" where you will be able to create and edit your categories.
To create the new category, you will click on the green "Add New Record" button.

You will continue this process until all the desired categories are created. You are able to edit the category and will update in real time.
How to Batch Assign Categories to Vendors
After you have completed creating your categories and you would like to assign those categories to your different vendors there are two different ways to do that. The first way is to do them all at once. To do that, you will go to the side panel and under the Exhibitors tab, you will select "Exhibitors List".
Example image of the "Exhibitor's List" tab:
The Exhibitors List will have all your vendors listed out. To select all, you will click on the Check box. Once you have all the vendors selected you will click the blue "Edit Select Records" button.
You can also see in the image below Category column where the categories will populate.

You will scroll over on the page where you are able to edit the data to the column that says "Categories". You can then scroll down the list of your vendors and be able to select one or multiple categories for each vendor.
Once you have chosen the category for each vendor, you will click the green "Save Record" button.

How to Individually Assign Categories to Vendors
After you have completed creating your categories and you would like to assign those categories to your different vendors there are two different ways to do that. The second way is to each vendor one by one. To do that, you will go to the side panel and under the Exhibitors tab, you will select "Exhibitors List".
You will then find and click into the specific vendor that you would like to assign the category to.
Example of Vendor List and just choosing the specific Vendor:
Once you are in the specific vendors profile, you will scroll Down to the "Categories" section. You will then be able to check one or multiple categories for that vendor. Once you have chosen the categories, you will click the green "Save Record" button to save your work.

How Categories Appeal to Attendees
The great thing about Categories is that once they’re assigned to your specific vendors and your Event Page is live with the map and schedule, attendees can filter the Vendor List by those categories. This allows them to quickly find what they're looking for without searching through all the vendors.
