Note: We appreciate your patience as we continue to update all the guides in our Help Center with this new information.
Before we get to the good stuff, a note for all our Custom CSS Upgrade users:
Any Custom CSS changes are to target Tailwind CSS classes that may be overwritten with the release and need to be changed to target the elements instead. Please note, it is important to use the Custom CSS classes that can be found in the Advanced Styles modal. Use the tailwindCSS classes with caution as they may change with version library changes or become deprecated. https://tailwindcss.com/
Exciting news! Based on your feedback, we've made some changes to our Virtual Platform to make navigating the site easier and the user experience more enjoyable. First, you'll probably notice changes to the Header Links at the top of your page.
The Main Stage now only contains your Main Stage programming and your event description and widgets. The next scheduled programming will show start date and time at the top of the page, and once it's live, will appear at the top of the page where you Cover Image currently is.
For more information on how to add Main Stage content, please refer to our tutorial on Adding Content to the Main Hall.
This is the homepage for your event, people will first be taken here when they enter your event URL. This is also the page that clicking on the Event Name or Logo will take you to.
Your Exhibitor Booths are no longer on this page. You will find them located under the Expo Hall header link at the top. Read on for more information on this.
We now have a dedicated page for your Exhibitor Booths! They are no longer under "Main Stage," which means they are not on the homepage of your event or accessible by clicking the Event Name/Logo at the top of the page.
On this dedicated Expo Hall page, you can add a Cover Image, manage your booths (Feature, Pin, Reorder), and even create Event-Managed booths! For more information on all the features available to you, please refer to this section on Managing Your Exhibitors' Booths.
Attendees can also filter booths, search for specific booths, as well as choose to view them in a Grid or List view for ease of browsing.
Additionally, when Booth Session hours are active, and attendees can visit Exhibitors in their booths and Live Chat, there will be a banner across all pages on your event alerting them to this. Clicking it will take the user to the Expo Hall page.
For more information on how to schedule this, please refer to our guide on Adding Live Chat Booth Sessions For Your Exhibitors.
Your Exhibitors now have the ability to apply their own branding colors within their booths. They can do this by entering their booths in Edit Mode, and selecting a "Brand Color" to apply.
This will be reflected in their booth on the Info Bar beneath their booth title, and on buttons on their Display Items. Don't worry, your branding colors will still show at the top of the page! This is how it will appear to attendees:
Previously, we only allowed you to have Display Ads on your Main Stage live content as it was playing, or horizontal banner ads on your Main Hall page that appeared all the time and rotated through the ones you added.
Now, you have the ability to add these banner ads to every page of your event. For example, on the Speakers page:
You manage these ads just like you do the ones on the Main page. For more detailed information on how to do this, please refer to our tutorial on How to Create Banners and Display Ads.
